Trevor and I went to Fuddruckers tonight! Yum. The burgers are great there! A little taste of the US. When I asked where the beef came from they told me that it was from the US. It did taste like the beef back home (the beef from other countries tastes different). Fruddruckers is near the Qatar Tennis Federation. There's also a Bennigan's there as well. 
Actually Qatar really does have an enormous amount of American eateries. There's a section in Qatar (near the Ramada Signal at the junction of C-Ring and Salwa) called "cholesterol corner" which has a Chili's, McDonalds, KFC, Dairy Queen, Applebees, TGI Fridays, Poppeys, etc. Now don't get me wrong, they are all slightly different from the US locations because they can't legally sell/cook any pork products. But they are amazingly similar in almost every other way for being so far away from home.

We were regulars there...so much so that over the years we were gifted Doha Bennigan's polo shirts (3 sets!), oh, and a Bennigan's clock. ;-) Tell them Sir David and Ma'am Sybil from Texas send their best. Order a buffalo chicken sandwich cut in half (to share) with 2 iced teas and they'll be having deja vu ;-P ~ Magda, Marge, Krishna, Yam, Pradheep, just to mention a few of our fave employees there.
